In its current form, the IRS has managed to make life quite difficult for thousands of business owners and taxpayers across the country. If you have ever dealt with an IRS dispute, you know exactly what we mean. The IRS is often referred to as the world’s “most brutal collection agency” thanks to their aggressive tactics of debt collection.

And now, it appears likely that the agency will become even more powerful in the near future. The Washington Post reports:

Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, shares good news for individuals involved in an IRS dispute.

Norman, OK – June 4, 2012 - Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, recently published a blog on his website (www.irshelpoklahoma.com/) examining recent changes to IRS policies. The blog, titled “Facing an IRS Dispute? Here’s Some Good News” informs readers of additional options available in order to resolve an IRS dispute.

Rod Polston writes, “IRS disputes can be costly and enormously stressful for taxpayers and business owners who make the mistake of trying to fight the IRS alone. However, there is some good news: the IRS has recently introduced measures designed to make it easier for struggling taxpayers to pay their bills without going bankrupt.”

Norman, OK – May **, 2012 - Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, recently published a blog on his website (www.irshelpoklahoma.com/) discussing a recent Supreme Court ruling against the IRS. The blog, titled “Supreme Court to the IRS: Yes, You Do Have to Play by the Rules” explains that taxpayers are not powerless against the IRS.

If you’re facing an IRS dispute, it has probably been quite some time since you have received any good news. IRS disputes can be costly and enormously stressful for taxpayers and business owners who make the mistake of trying to fight the IRS alone. However, there is some good news: the IRS has recently introduced measures designed to make it easier for struggling taxpayers to pay their bills without going bankrupt.

On April 25, the IRS received a message from the Supreme Court that the department isn’t used to hearing: “no, you can’t do that!”

Specifically, the Supreme Court ruled that the IRS could not extend the statute of limitations related to a certain “tax shelter” that many businesses and individuals pursued.

Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, warns readers that the IRS will do whatever is necessary to collect from taxpayers.

Norman, OK – May 16, 2012 - Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, recently published an article on his website (www.irshelpoklahoma.com) informing readers that the IRS has expanded into social media. The article, titled “You Can’t Escape the IRS—Even on Social Media” explains that IRS problems can be overcome—but only by taking action.

Rod Polston writes, “The IRS’ recent expansion into the world of social media may not make a practical difference in your life—but it certainly serves as a symbolic reminder that the agency will do whatever it deems necessary to take your money!”

Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, reminds readers that IRS problems won’t solve themselves.

Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, has signed a publishing deal with CelebrityPress, a leading book publishing company, along with other leading legal experts to release “Protect and Defend: Proven Strategies from America's Leading Attorneys to help you Protect and Defend Your Business, Family and Wealth.”

Norman, OK – April 21, 2012 – Rod Polston, Founder of The Law Office of Roderick H. Polston, an Oklahoma Tax Law Firm, has joined a select group of America’s leading attorneys to co-write the forthcoming book titled, “Protect and Defend: Proven Strategies from America's Leading Attorneys to help you Protect and Defend Your Business, Family and Wealth.” Nick Nanton, Esq. along with business partner, JW Dicks, Esq., recently signed a publishing deal with each of these authors to contribute their expertise to the book, which will be released under their CelebrityPress™ label.

We know that the IRS will stop at nothing to collect money from taxpayers. That said, it is more than a little surprising to realize that they have taken to social media.

As OhMyGov.com explains:

“April 17 was the last day to file your federal tax return, and the Internal Revenue Service has taken to social media to spread the word.

IRS disputes impact Americans across the country each and every year—and not in a good way! IRS disputes and penalties, in addition to their financial toll, can cause extreme stress—both mental and physical.
