Aleksey Carter is from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Aleksey has been in Oklahoma for most of her life but did spend some time in Fort Worth, Texas. Aleksey graduated from Northeastern State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Business. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree of Divinity through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Aleksey feels that she was led to this career field through taking courses in Accounting and by working in banking for 5 years. She was led to Polston Tax because her aunt is also an accountant here, and suggested that she apply because she would love it. She enjoys her work because she says being able to use accounting to help people brings so much joy!
When she is not at work, Aleksey likes to watch basketball with her husband Josh and to play at the park with her Golden Doodle puppy named Ranger. Some of Aleksey’s hobbies include learning new languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, and Greek. She also enjoys reading biographies. One thing people may be surprised to learn about Aleksey is after she graduated from college, she moved to Europe briefly to provide aid to Middle Eastern refugees. She received a scholarship from the U.S. Government to stay in Morocco for a couple of months to begin learning Arabic.
