Sarah Chapman

Sarah Chapman is from Alva, Oklahoma and has lived in the Sooner State her whole life! Sarah graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, as well as her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting! Sarah feels she was led to this career field because she has always enjoyed math and puzzles. After graduating, when trying to decide what career path to take, Sarah’s husband suggested that she try for the CPA exam. She listened, finished enough accounting courses to sit for the exam, and passed! She has loved it since then! Sarah says she enjoys her work because she loves helping people and loves the puzzle that is tax work. She was led to Polston Tax because of the great people and flexible schedule.

When Sarah is not helping her clients at work, you can most likely catch her traveling, reading, playing video games, drawing, painting, crafting, or spending time with her family! Sarah is a member of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants!

Sarah is married to her husband, Mikel, who is a veteran! Sarah and Mikel have 2 boys named James and Robert. They have 3 dogs: Rufus the Jack Russell (he is also Mikel’s service dog), Remus the Snorkie, and Yadi, the most relaxed Chihuahua ever! They also have two cats named Mace and Callie.

One of Sarah’s most proud accomplishments is that she adopted her two children from Africa during an exit visa suspension.  It took a total of 3 years to bring them home, and they almost gave up hope of them actually being able to come home. Less than a month after they successfully adopted their children, the country completely suspended all adoptions from there. It was a very stressful time, but Sarah says that she would do it all again for those two angels.
