Senior Financial Accountant
Troy Ainsworth was born in Jerome, ID, but grew up in Tempe, AZ. He’s moved around a lot, having lived in Arizona, Colorado, Alabama, and Nevada before settling back in Arizona for good. Troy holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. His original career goal was to join the FBI, and since they are part of the Treasury Department, accounting seemed like a great fit. He enjoys his work because he loves making numbers meaningful for the end-user.
Outside of work, you’ll often find him fishing for smallmouth bass or hitting the golf course. One fun fact: Troy has an official bull-riding time of 1.4 seconds! He’s also spent 14 years in the mining industry, working with copper, gold, coal, and limestone. He’s been 1,400 feet underground, taken inventory on top of a 100-foot silo, and even shot a blast in an open pit mine. He’s been married for 23 years and has four kids – one daughter in college and three boys – along with two dogs.
