IRS Enrolled Agent
Case Management Lead
Anesia Smith grew up in Alexandria, VA, and has lived in Maryland for the past 20 years. She earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!) and her Master’s in Intelligence Analysis from Johns Hopkins University. After a 14-year career as an Intelligence Analyst with the FBI, Anesia pursued her long-time passion for tax and accounting by completing income tax school. She enjoys her work because it allows her to serve others and make a meaningful difference. Outside of work, she’s a proud former athlete who now trains her son, enjoys working out, spending time with her large Jamaican family, and shooting pool. Anesia is married with three children—her daughter Rylie (17), son Carter (10), and nephew Alex (19), whom she adopted at age 15. She’s especially proud of earning her Enrolled Agent license in just 45 days with near-perfect scores and being the first in her family to earn both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
