Senior Financial Accountant
Erin Dortch grew up in Tennessee and has called Alabama home for the past 18 years. She attended Western Kentucky University before continuing her education at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Erin was drawn to accounting because she has always enjoyed working with numbers and solving problems. As she gained experience in the field, she discovered that she especially enjoyed the analytical side of accounting and the satisfaction of taking complicated information and making it organized and understandable.
One of the things Erin enjoys most about her work is that there is always something new to learn. Every company and situation can be different, and she enjoys researching issues, learning new accounting concepts, and finding better ways to improve processes.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and animals. A big animal lover, she shares her home with both cats and dogs. She also enjoys reading and writing in her free time. Erin is the proud mom of a 17-year-old daughter.
Many people may be surprised to learn that Erin is much more adventurous than she might seem at first. One of her proudest accomplishments is building a career that she genuinely enjoys. Accounting has given her the opportunity to continually learn and grow, and she is proud of the experience she has gained and the responsibilities she has been trusted with.
