Mia Williams-Collings

Mia Williams-Collings is originally from Dallas, Texas, and now lives in the Houston area. A lifelong Texan, she attended the University of Houston, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science, before continuing her education at Thurgood Marshall School of Law and earning her Juris Doctor.

Although tax law was not the career path she originally envisioned while in law school, Mia found herself working in the field after graduation and quickly discovered a passion for it. She enjoys helping people while continually learning something new, making tax law a rewarding and fulfilling career.

Outside of work, Mia loves traveling and has explored six of the world’s seven continents, with plans to visit Antarctica before her 40th birthday in 2028. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, playing sports, gaming, and relaxing with her two dogs. A lifelong athlete, Mia has participated in basketball, track, and women’s tackle football, and she currently plays in an adult kickball league. Many people are surprised to learn that she travels solo to most of the destinations she visits—including her upcoming trip to Antarctica.

Mia shares her home with her two dogs, Moe, a 2-year-old Border Collie mix, and Max, a 14-year-old American Staffordshire mix.
